FOOTBALL LEAGUE RECOGNITION FOR CITY MAGAZINE
Leicester City Football Club’s multiple award-winning Matchday Magazine, ‘City’, yesterday (Wednesday) received further recognition after being named as the npower Championship runner-up in the Official Football League Programme of the Year Awards.
The division’s winning programme was produced by Brighton & Hove Albion, whilst ‘City’ finished ahead of Derby County, Bolton Wanderers and Peterborough United, who were also nominated in the top five positions.
Today’s announcement takes the total number of accolades received by the publication into double figures, as ‘City’ has been recognised on 10 occasions in the last two seasons.
This latest honour sees the magazine receive widespread acclaim from its Championship contemporaries, as The Football League’s Programme of the Year Award winners have been decided by votes submitted from each club’s media team.
Designed and edited by Soar Media, in partnership with Leicester City’s media team and official photographic supplier, Plumb Images, the 84-page perfect bound publication has now been the recipient of six accolades this season alone, including the Northern Programme Club and Independent View magazine ‘Championship Programme of the Year’.
A special play-off semi-final edition of the City magazine for Thursday’s crucial home clash with Watford went to print on Wednesday and copies of the publication can be purchased for £3 in and around King Power Stadium, or online by visiting www.lcfcdirect.com
