Soar Media has formally announced this week that March’s issue 24 of our quarterly publication, Soar Magazine is our last.

Soar Magazine was first published in spring 2008 by Soar Media Ltd, lasting six years, spanning 24 editions and reaching a print run of over 11,000 copies at 84 pages at the peak of its circulation. The publication featured interviews with many iconic personalities from the worlds of sport, culture and politics in the region such as Sven-Göran Eriksson, Paula Radcliffe, Neil Back, Tom Meighan and Alastair Campbell to name a few.

Speaking about the decision, Soar Media Communications Director, Dean Eldredge, said: “We are immensely proud of the role that Soar Magazine has played in our company’s history and how the publication has aided our rapid growth.

“It was time to close this chapter, look to the future and focus further time and energies on new projects alongside our core business.

“We are extremely grateful for all the support we have received, from so many people and organisations, and we feel certain that we achieved our initial aim of highlighting the rich diversity of professional and amateur sport in Leicestershire, whilst helping to encourage people of all ages to participate, spectate and hopefully enjoy a healthier, sporting lifestyle.”

Soar Magazine’s website – – will continue to cover sport, health and lifestyle in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, whilst Soar Media continues to grow alongside the group’s newest venture, Oporto Sports Management –
