Melissa MarchIn an exclusive new feature, published on the website of The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity, business borrower Melissa March explains how support from the Charity helped her to establish Learning for the Fourth Age; an organisation that has since become a charity itself.

Learning for the Fourth Age provides learning opportunities to older people receiving care, either in care settings – such as care homes or nursing homes, or with individuals in their own homes.

“It was clear that they (The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity) wanted to see us success at what we did, but also were confident enough in our business idea to put some money behind us,” said Melissa.
