STOP FEATURE IN LEICESTER MERCURY

A story about how a 30-year long smoker is using the support of the Leicester Stop Smoking Service featured in the Leicester Mercury on Saturday 7 January.

Philip Saunt has tried using nicotine replacement patches in the past but has always turned back to cigarettes. The 67-year-old, who now has chronic lung disease and high blood pressure, is determined to give up the habit with the support of the Stop Smoking Service.

Philip said: “This time I am using patches and e-cigarettes and it does seem to be helping me much more – and I am saving around £165 a month which I am putting into my savings. My advisor is giving me tips and encouragement and I really hope I can manage to give up for good this time.”
