BarwellWesterbyCupTuesday evening (26th May) saw King Power Stadium host the Westerby Challenge Cup Final; the conclusion of the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA’s most prestigious cup competition, which was this year contested between Barwell and Coalville Town.

Close to 1,000 spectators turned out to witness the final, with supporters of both clubs creating a great atmosphere inside the home of Leicester City Football Club.

It was to be Barwell that emerged 2-1 victors, thanks to second-half goals from Nigel Julian and Jamie Hood. Coalville grabbed a late consolation courtesy of Jake Woolley; however the Ravens were unable to find an equaliser ahead of the final whistle.
