Two brand-new football festivals were launched by the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA, alongside Cosby United Youth and Juniors Football Club, over the course of Easter; specifically aimed at players with various disabilities.

Consisting of skills and drills, players were also given the chance to play in mini tournaments. A host of prizes were then presented at the end of each festival.

“These festivals were all about having fun whilst playing football. From the festivals, the Cosby United Youth and Juniors Football Club will then begin regular training sessions, and from next year will have a team within the Leicestershire and Rutland Inclusive Football League,” said Philippa Bass, Disability Football Development Officer at the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA.
