L&RCFAIn a pilot initiative, that could possibly be rolled out nationwide, the Leicestershire and Rutland County FA today (Wednesday 26th March) oversaw the delivery of machinery and expertise, which will help four grassroots clubs in the region work together to maintain the condition of their pitches.

At an event held at Saffron Dynamo Football Club, representatives from the club alongside those of Harborough Town, Birstall United and Ibstock United were presented with a Kubota tractor by Redexim Charterhouse, as part of a development project run between the County FA and the Football Foundation.

Staff from Redexim Charterhouse then delivered training on how best to utilise the machinery, so as to maintain the condition of clubs’ pitches, improving pitch quality and lowering maintenance costs.
