LRS LAUNCHES PURPOSEFUL PHYSICAL PLAY PROJECT
Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport have announced the launch of the Purposeful Physical Play Project, an early-years training programme that has been funded through Leicestershire County Council’s Olympic Legacy Fund.
The project, in collaboration with Leicestershire County Council’s Public Health department, aims to work with 100 settings in the seven districts across Leicestershire to ensure that children get the best start in life.
To date, over 90 practitioners have received guidance, training, resources and advice on how to help 0-5-year-olds take part in more purposeful play and establish good habits for later life.
