School-GamesOver 1,000 athletes are participating in the Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport (LRS) School Games Spring Championships today (Thursday 3rd April), which are being held at Loughborough University.

Representatives from schools across the entire Leicestershire and Rutland region, aged between 11 and 18 years-of-age, will be competing in a series of nine different sports, including disability-specific competitions.

Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games Ambassadors, GB Paralympic sprinter Sam Ruddock and former Leicester Tigers and England U21 prop Matt Hampson, are both involved in the opening and closing ceremony respectively.
