OVER £1MILLION OF FUNDING AWARDED TO LOCAL CLUBS
Over £1.1 million of Inspired Facilities funding has been awarded to a total of 23 clubs and organisations across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland as part of £16.6 million of National Lottery funding that has been received by 310 grassroots sports projects across England.
The local clubs and organisations that have recently been awarded funding include, Barrow Town Football Club, Lutterworth Tennis Club, English Martyrs School and Thurmaston Bowls Club, whose successful bid was recently featured on BBC Radio Leicester.
The fund is part of Sport England’s Places People Play Olympic and Paralympic legacy programme and the club’s funding applications were supported by Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport.
Further clubs and organisations can apply for funding from March 4th and until April 29th, with another round of applications being accepted between October 21st and December 16th.
