A number of amateur footballers across Leicestershire have pledged to stop smoking, following a series of promotional events at venues across the county.

In a new partnership between the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA, the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Stop Smoking Service’s Balls to Stop campaign and Community Projects Plus, players have been informed about the help on offer to assist in quitting smoking.

In addition, players from clubs pledging to stop smoking have received a free Nike football for their team.
