LRSThe Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games Spring Championships are taking place at Loughborough University this Friday (March 22nd).

The event, which is set to provide an excellent showcase of competitive school sport, will take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm and feature over 1,500 athletes, disabled athletes and spectators.

Young people aged 11 to 18-years-old will be competing in a series of nine different sports, across 20 competitions, including disability specific competition.

Two of the four sports stars acting as Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games Ambassadors for the 2012/13 academic year, former Leicester Tigers players, Harry Ellis and Matt Hampson, as well as London 2012 Team GB Paralympian, Sam Ruddock, will be in attendance.
