MarketWinterThousands of shoppers flocked to Leicester Market on Sunday 16 November, to enjoy the huge variety of offerings available in the sixth annual Winter Food Festival featuring Christmas Crafts.

A plethora of traders provided the hungry public with a huge range of cuisines, including Colombian, Chinese and Greek, in addition to mouth-watering BBQ and hog roasts. TV chef Andy Bates (pictured) provided shoppers with cooking demonstrations over the course of the day, producing delicious Cuban sandwiches for members of the public.

With a fully licenced drinks tent also offering locally-brewed beers and spirits, alongside traditional mulled wine, the event proved to be the perfect introduction to the festive season, capped off with the switch-on of Leicester city centre’s Christmas lights.
