UNDER-21 LEAGUE TO BE LAUNCHED IN LEICESTERSHIRE
The Leicestershire & Rutland County FA has announced that the county’s first Under-21 Development Football League is set to be launched in 2015/16, with clubs now able to apply for league admission.
The league will bridge the gap between youth and open age football, helping young players to make the transition. Under-21 leagues have been successful in other areas of the country and it is hoped this league will have a positive impact on grassroots football in Leicestershire and Rutland.
League fixtures will take place on Saturdays, starting on Saturday 12th September.
