CASH INJECTION TO GET LEICESTERSHIRE AND LEICESTER ACTIVE

Hundreds of inactive people in Leicestershire and Leicester are to benefit from a new project, which has received Sport England funding.

£439,000 of National Lottery funding has been awarded to Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport, working alongside the Public Health teams in the City and County.

The innovative scheme aims to identify inactive people and provide opportunities for them to get involved in sport, with mentor and group support helping people to remain involved and stay motivated.
